Quarter Horse Mare for Sale in Oskaloosa, IA
Lady is a beautiful halter built mare that throws halter babies no
matter what she's bred too and out produces herself everytime! She had
an injury to a front pastern as a foal, doesn't bother her but she
can't show halter herself. She has Tee Jay Roman & Eternal Fistful
on her papers. maybe bred to a buckskin tobiano for 2007. We got a
buckskin colt from this cross in 2005 and a bay filly in 2006 (also for
sale) . Excellent mother, easy breeder, easy keeper. Decided to sell our
broodmares or niether would be for sale. If you want to produce your own
class winner, heres your chance. email for pics of her and her babies.

About Oskaloosa, IA
Oskaloosa derives its name from Ouscaloosa who, according to town lore, was a Creek princess who married Seminole chief Osceola. A local tradition was that her name meant "last of the beautiful." (This interpretation of "last of the beautiful" is not correct. "Oskaloosa" in the Mvskoke-Creek language means "black rain," from the Mvskoke words "oske" (rain) and "lvste" (black). "loosa" is an English corruption of the Mvskoke word "lvste". See for example the Wikipedia entry for Tuskaloosa, eponym of the town of Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
