Rocky Mountain Stallion for Sale in Stanton, KY
A coming three year old gelding with a head full of sense. He is 15 hands,
will grow probably another inch, and a very solid natural 4 beat gait,
We have owned 2 full sisters to this horse and they both have made very
dependable trail and show horses. (Meet Virginia and Cool Smoke) . He
has been trail ridden extensively and really worth your time to come
see. Ashley, our apprentice trainer from Canada doesn't mind riding in
a snow storm to show you a good horse.
About Stanton, KY
The first post office to be located in present-day Stanton was established on July 7, 1849 and was named Beaver Pond, because of the settlement's proximity to a small body of water resulting from a beaver dam. In 1852, both the post office and the settlement were renamed Stanton for Richard H. Stanton, who served in Congress from 1849 to 1855 and later as a U.S. senator. In the late 1800s and early 1900s, Stanton (and nearby Clay City) were booming logging centers for Eastern Kentucky.
