Quarter Horse Stallion for Sale in Jonesville, LA
Great laid back stallion with fantastic disposition and lots of cow
sense. Peppy San Badger X Zan Parr Bar breeding. Was broke out in and
outside of the pen. Continued his training in the woods hunting. Can
shoot a gun off his back and he doesn't move. He was also worked in the
pen in both the heading and heeling box. Extremely calm, does not get
spooky or hyped up in the box, and tracks a cow really well. He has been
used for breeding for the last few years. All his colts are good natured,
with a laid back disposition, very easy to handle and train. Beautiful
head and neck passes to his foals. We want to trade up to a larger stud
around 15'3 hh and 1300 lbs or larger. Call or email for photos.
About Jonesville, LA
Jonesville was once the site of the Troyville Earthworks; built by ancient Native Americans who occupied the site from 100 BCE to 700 CE. Once home to between 9-11 mounds, most have been leveled to make way for the construction of the modern town; including the Great Mound which was once 82 feet (25 m) in height. It was the tallest mound in Louisiana and the second tallest in the United States after Monks Mound at Cahokia in Illinois. It was destroyed for bridge approach fill in 1931. The site is the type site for the Troyville culture of the lower Ouachita and Tensas River valleys.
