Quarter Horse Mare for Sale in Plant City, FL
Allie is said to be a 16 yr old QH / Saddlebred Cross. She is 14. 3 hh
and weighs 863 pounds. We just took Allie for a ride in the arena and
she did GREAT!! Sweet and kind on the ground and in the saddle. We were
impressed with her ground manners. We have discovered that Allie has
arthritis in both knees, the left knee has a knot in it (possible bone
spur) . She needs put on glucosamine. Very sweet mare, but because
of her arthritis, she should have no more than 50 lbs. of weight on
her. She was bought from that same trail riding facility and needs a
break from the everyday work. Trail riding horse for a light rider or
lead line horse for a child would be perfect for her. More information
on Allie forthcoming. Donation fee is $300 (finance) / $200 (cash) .
About Plant City, FL
Plant City's original name was Ichepuckesassa (also known as Idasukshed) after the Indian village that once occupied the territory. Its name caused so much confusion that the city was renamed "Cork", after the postmaster's Irish hometown. It was finally given the name "Plant City" in commemoration of Henry B. Plant and his railroad, which significantly boosted the commerce in this primarily agricultural community by incorporating it with the South Florida Railroad. Plant City was the spring training home of baseball's Cincinnati Reds, who played exhibition games at Plant City Stadium from 1988 to 1997.
