Quarter Horse Mare for Sale in Kearney, NE
This is a nice, big filly with good muscle and a very sweet temperament.
Her half brother out of the same dam is currently in 2 nd place in
the Novice Am All around for all of Arizona, and will be the Novice Am
All Around Champion for southern AZ. He has AQHA Novice Am points in
5 events and stands 16. 1. This filly should mature to around 15. 2.
She longes, stands tied, leads up freely and stands for farrier. No bad
habits or vices. She is up to date on vaccinations and deworming.
She is not spooky and would make a great trail horse. I have lowered
her price because I need to get her sold as soon as possible.

About Kearney, NE
The original settlement in the area was called Dobytown, located 2 miles (3.2 km) southeast of the present-day Kearney. Later the city was moved and renamed after the nearby Fort Kearny (with an extra "e" added, but pronounced the same), a United States Army outpost along the Oregon Trail in the middle of the 19th century. The fort was named after Colonel (later General) Stephen W. Kearny. The "e" was added by mistake sometime afterwards by postmen who consistently misspelled the town name; eventually it just stuck.
