Thoroughbred Stallion for Sale in Austin, TX
If you are looking for a big, ridable horse with huge presence you need to
look at Ghost. At close to 17 hands, he is tall enough for most riders,
yet narrow enough that smaller people are comfortable on him as well.
Ghost was purchased from his breeder, Windswept Farms of Georgetown,
Texas, as a five yr old after he was seen at the Central Texas Sporthorse
Breeders Festival. He is a willing, scopey jumper and has shown in the 3'
hunter with his owner at local shows. His true appeal and talent, though,
are on the flat. He likes the idea of lots of direction from the rider
and thrives on learning flat work. His lateral work is quite nice and
his gaits are very elastic without being unseating. He is light and soft
in his contact and has lovely carriage. He is easy to deal with at shows.
About Austin, TX
Austin, Travis County and Williamson County have been the site of human habitation since at least 9200 BC. The area's earliest known inhabitants lived during the late Pleistocene (Ice Age) and are linked to the Clovis culture around 9200 BC (over 11,200 years ago), based on evidence found throughout the area and documented at the much-studied Gault Site, midway between Georgetown and Fort Hood. When settlers arrived from Europe, the Tonkawa tribe inhabited the area. The Comanches and Lipan Apaches were also known to travel through the area. Spanish colonists, including the Espinosa-Olivares-Aguirre expedition, traveled through the area for centuries, though few permanent settlements were created for some time.
