Paint Mare for Sale in Owasso, OK
Lily is from Colonel Freckles breeding with loads of talent and potential.
We've had her about a year, but circumstances haven't allowed us to
use this mare the way we had planned. She's bored, and needs more to
do than we can offer. She's well broke, UPD on all shots, coggins, etc,
loads easily, easy to catch, and is an easy keeper. She's spent several
months with a trainer, very responsive, gives to leg cues, neck reins,
and is very quick. Would be a good head horse, ranch horse, or other
use where she gets lots to do. Has spent time around cows and in arena
events. Very stout and nice flash with two white socks and a pretty
blaze. She requires an experienced rider with a firm hand.
About Owasso, OK
Owasso began as a settlement in 1881, located in the Cooweescoowee District of the Cherokee Nation in Indian Territory, near what is now 66th Street North and North 129th East Avenue. It was called Elm Creek, and was named for Elm Creek, a tributary of Bird Creek. The first settler was H.T. (Tole) Richardson. In June 1893, plans began for a rail line to be extended south from Bartlesville to the cattle ranches in the vicinity of Bird Creek.
