Welsh Pony Stallion at Stud in Lawton, OK
William is beautiful, athletic, exceptionally kind, impeccably bred
- everything you need to create an exceptional children's pony or
champion hunter pony. With less than a year under saddle, he jumps
around courses with a 8 year old rider and has always had a natural,
easy lead swap. Children can handle him with ease. His gelding like
temperament passes on. His sire and both his grandsires are all listed
on the 2005 USEF leading pony hunter sires list. He is a grandson of
both Sleight of Hand and Findeln Blue Danube! Danube is the sire of many
famous champion hunter ponies, including AHSA National Champion Small Pony
Hunter Strike a Pose. Sleight of Hand was awarded the first ever Award of
Excellence by the WPCSA and their first ever Sire Legion of Merit award.
Half welsh foals are eligible for half welsh papers and can participate
in welsh shows.

About Lawton, OK
The land that is present-day Oklahoma was first settled by prehistoric American Indians including the Clovis 11500 BCE, Folsom 10600 BCE and Plainview 10000 BCE cultures. Historic indigenous peoples who inhabited the region included the Wichita and Caddo peoples. In the 16th century, Spanish explorer Francisco Vásquez de Coronado visited in 1541, beginning European contact. Around the 1700s, two tribes from the north, the Comanches and Kiowas, migrated to the Oklahoma and Texas region. For most of the 18th century, the Oklahoma region was under nominal French control as Louisiana.
