Morgan Stallion for Sale in Oshkosh, WI
Oldfield Sailor is a 4 year old gelding with size and substance. He
has a powerful hind end, short back and a great shoulder which enables
him to carry himself gracefully. Sailor was shown as a 3 year old on
the Morgan A show circuit and was always in the ribbons. Just starting
in training after a winter off, this phenomonal gelding will be shown
in 2006 if not sold. Sailor clips, bathes, hauls, stands well for the
farrier and is great for the vet. A definate people horse and a favorite
in the barn. He is being sold due to the fact geldings are not much use
in the breeding shed. Come try this sweet tempered guy for yourself and
be ready to fall in love!

About Oshkosh, WI
Oshkosh was named for Menominee Chief Oshkosh, whose name meant "claw" (cf. Ojibwe oshkanzh, "the claw"). Although the fur trade attracted the first European settlers to the area as early as 1818, it never became a major player in the fur trade. Soon after 1830, much of the trade moved west, as there had been over-trapping in the region. The establishment and growth of the lumber industry in the area spurred development of Oshkosh.
