Hanoverian Mare for Sale in Honeoye, NY
Pandora is a proven broodmare and a great mom. No vices, very sweet,
nice mover. Han. / Dutch mare IN FOAL to Trakehner stallion, Feuertanzer.
Pandora had been foxhunted and evented in the past, and has now been
retired to being a broodmare. She has been confirmed in foal with 2
ultrasounds, but anyone that is interested in her is welcome to have her
ultrasounded again before purchasing. This is a great price, as her foal
will be worth more and then you will have a great mare, but I am trying
to downsize. Pandora is a sabino, with belly spots, high white socks,
and a blaze. I am looking for a wonderful, permanent home for her.
Her '05 filly is also for sale. She's is a wonderful prospect. She's
very sweet, very athletic with 3 excellent gates, and nothing fazes her.
Package deal possible if interested. Email for more info.
About Honeoye, NY
The name Honeoye comes from the Seneca word ha-ne-a-yah, which means lying finger, or where the finger lies. The name comes from the local story of a Native American whose finger was bitten by a rattlesnake and who therefore cut off his finger with a tomahawk. The area that is now the hamlet of Honeoye is thought to have first been inhabited by the Point Peninsula Indians more than 10,000 years ago. Following them came the Seneca, who settled their village at the northeast part of Honeoye Lake, just north of the present-day community of Honeoye Lake Park. During the American Revolution, this Seneca village was destroyed by General John Sullivan in September 1779 as part of his campaign to eliminate the threat from the Iroquois, most of whose nations were allied with the British.
