Keya, is a chestnut 1992 registered American Bashkir Curly Horse. A rare breed, with approximately five thousand or so of the breed in the world. In the winter, Keya's hair becomes curly, almost like a poodle, and he looks like one too. However, once spring comes along, he sheds the curls and is smooth - coated like any other horse, except that he loses his mane and his tail hair! Keya is used for summer camp, riding lessons, and trail riding. Keya competes on the local hunters circuit in Walk / Trot Poles and Crossrails with the students from Alpha Farm. Calm and sensible enough for the first - time rider, smart, brave, and fun for the advanced rider. NO vices. Easy to catch with grain. Bathes, grooms, tacks, loads, and travels GREAT!
